Children of Magic Series

Children of Magic is a series set in the land of Virgamor, a medieval-age world. A mystical scepter called the Virgám has granted three people with the ability to use magic, and now those powers have passed on to their children. This series follows their stories, and each book is told from one of their perspectives. Join Eramus, Feya, Zeeran, and Ladisias as they discover their powers and face the darkness threatening to consume Virgamor.

Book 1: Blood & Magic

Magic comes with a heavy price—being marked a traitor.

Eramus has kept his power a secret for over a decade, but that changes when Evree’s life is in danger. Now everyone knows about his gift, and his fellow villagers aren’t the only ones watching him.

As Eramus unravels the mysteries of his past, he discovers his connection to a dark sorcerer. A mysterious stranger offers to train him, but trusting the man may be a mistake. Soon, Evree and the entire village are threatened by those with powerful abilities and by a king bent on revenge.

Can Eramus save himself and the people he loves in a battle of blood and magic, or will their lives be the ultimate price?

Book 2: Love & Magic

Hiring an assassin comes with a great deal of problems.

Strauth despises magic and all those who wield it. When his brother devises a plan to eradicate those responsible for their father’s death, Strauth is eager to join the cause. Then he receives his new assignment—guarding a witch while her family is on an errand for the king.

Nothing terrifies Feya more than using her powers, and now she’s been left behind while her family searches for a dark sorcerer. To make matters worse, the lieutenant assigned as her guard clearly despises her.

When an assassin attempts to kill Feya, Strauth protects her, nearly losing his own life in the process. Escaping death changes hatred into something new, but the discovery of his brother’s hand in the scheme makes following his heart complicated. Can Strauth keep Feya from those who want her dead or will they both fall victim to the mysterious assailant?

Book 3: Revenge & Magic

Driven by an unyielding sense of justice and loyalty, Zeeran finds himself at a crossroad after his father agrees to aid in the capture of his traitorous uncle in exchange for a royal pardon. When Uncle Morzaun emerges from hiding, seemingly to surrender, Zeeran’s dilemma comes to a head: let the man face trial and death or save him from the executioner’s blade.

Choice made, Zeeran escapes the clutches of the army with Morzaun. They seek refuge in a secluded forest, far from the vengeful king’s grasp, and Zeeran is introduced to the feisty assassin Morzaun has hired to achieve his schemes of revenge.

As Zeeran grapples with his own identity, he must navigate a treacherous path where his loyalty and heart are tested and everything he believes is called into question. Safety is an illusion, and Zeeran soon discovers that the true enemy is closer than he ever imagined.

Book 4: War & Magic

Raised on the isolated island of Verascene, Ladisias has been spared the unrest of the mainland and prefers a quiet life of peace. But when a mythological creature appears in the young kingdom of Selvenor, Ladisias’s sense of responsibility as a wielder of magic to protect both man and beast draws him and his father from their safe haven and into the throes of war.

In a brutal attack, Ladisias is severely wounded and taken to a nearby village for care. There, his caretaker, a resilient woman with a personality as fiery as her red hair, discovers his magical lineage. Desperate to save her people, she pleads with Ladisias to defend them from the invaders.

But foreign mercenaries aren’t the only scourge lurking in Selvenor, and Ladisias learns his power suffers the greatest threat of all. Caught between the machinations of more than one power-hungry adversary, Ladisias must navigate his opposition to war, protecting his magic, and his desire to protect the woman who has stolen his heart.
