Happy New Year everyone! I hope the first few days have been pleasant for you. Have you set yourself some yearly goals? If so, drop them in the comments. I love hearing everyone’s goals for the year. I’ve set my personal sights a little lower this year than last in some aspects, but I think 2022 is going to be great, or at least I plan to see it that way. Sometimes we forget to look at all the positive and how much we’ve accomplished when we don’t quite meet our own expectations. But we should celebrate every victory, every moment of growth, even if we don’t achieve everything we set out to.

I’ll drop in my yearly plan/goals for those of you who anxiously follow my publishing journey. (*Laughs, knowing there are but a few.)

First up, I need to get you up to speed on recent developments. I’m now officially on audible! What a fun journey that has been. My narrator is amazing, and I’m super impressed with the amount of unique voices he can do. If you haven’t checked it out already, do it!

This brings us to Book 2 in the Children of Magic series. Love & Magic has no official release date as of yet, but it is written and will be ready for formatting soon! My goal is to have it out by the end of February. With any luck, Book 3 will also be released later this year.

Book 4 of the Chronicles of Virgám series has a release date! You can expect it out January 24th.

Book 5, Shadows of Aknar doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it will be ready in May. I’m hoping to have the preorder up for it soon, but we’ll see how that goes 😉 Book 6 is half drafted (and that half is well edited since I’ve read through it 4 times already because I keep stopping and then I have to reread to remember what I wrote and its just…a whole thing). BUT I’m ready to get that first draft done. My HOPE is to release it in August, but again, it’s a “we’ll see” situation at this point. If I manage that, Book 7 may have a December release. Completely publishing the series this year is my goal, but I may not quite make it. (I’ll be super duper close, though)

My goal is to publish four books this year, and I don’t think I’ll have any issues doing that. Word count goal for the year is 350k and I’m off to a decent start. This is where I’ve scaled back after finishing last year with about 580k (probably 600k, but I kinda got lazy and stopped keeping track). I have some fun new stories in the works that I’ll be developing as well but shhhh (SECRETS).

In addition to all my writing goals, I also plan to read 60 novels and…exercise. I’ve already started that too and my body hates me.

With that, I send my best wishes to ya’ll for a fantastic year, no matter what goals you set out to achieve. Don’t forget to drop them in the comments!
