As we say goodbye to another year, I’m astounded with how much things have changed—both positively and negatively. I have so much to be grateful for, and though life is rarely easy and strife ever-present, it is the challenges (and more importantly), the rewards for overcoming them that make our short stint in our earthly existence worthwhile.

So as the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to offer my gratitude. This journey (both in life and as an author) has had its share of ups and down, but it is the people in my life that keep me moving forward. As someone who battles self-doubt on a regular basis, I find my ship in need of lifting from the shallows often. Rising tides lift all ships—and so many of you help me find my way to sea each and every day. Whether many of you realize it or not, your love and encouragement are what get me though the lows, and I can never thank you enough. I’d love to take the time to list every name, but alas, it would take far too much time (and lets be honest, those not on the list might feel awkward reading it XD) But I believe you know who you are. Some of you I have never even met in person, but your support is not restricted by distance.

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart.

All right, enough sappiness. Let’s have an update, shall we?

November saw a LOT of work for me, but it was wonderful to make so much progress. First, Blood & Magic officially released on November 15th. A big thank you to everyone who has already grabbed their copy!

As far as releases go, I am currently working out the schedule for two books for (hopefully) February-ish. The Seer of Verascene (Book 4: Chronicles of Virgam) and Love & Magic (Book 2: Children of Magic). Though the former may be ready as early as January. (Whoohoo! It feels like its kinda been a long wait on Book 4—sorry to all those who have asked me a dozen times!)

I spent November participating in NaNoWriMo and I’m pleased to announced that I WON! By winning I mean: I met the 50k word goal, but more importantly, I finished the draft for Love & Magic. It has been my favorite story to write so far, and I loved bringing the MCs together.

Moving forward:

My goals for December include finishing the final edits on Book 4 and the getting the newly revised Book 3 manuscript and cover available on the ZON. I believe I can accomplish those, and whatever remains of the month will go towards drafting Book 6. That’s the plan. (But my plans rarely stay on course, so…)

I look forward to enjoying the holidays, and I wish you all good tidings and good health as we approach a new year that’s sure to abound in adventure.
