Happy month of thanks! I hope this finds everyone well! This fall is certainly turning out to be a busy one but in the best way. I’m so grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to begin this publishing journey, and though it is far from easy, I truly enjoy not only the writing, but the entire publishing process. The more I come to understand about the craft, the more I fall in love with the written word. I have so many things to be grateful for (a gift to write being just one) and I’m happy to have this month to express that gratitude.

I’ve met some amazing people on this journey, and that perhaps has been one of my favorite parts of the experience. I’ve made so many new friends, people I likely would have never come to know otherwise, and I am truly blessed to have them in my life. As an author, one of the most encouraging things is to have people in your corner. I have a family who has been so supportive of my desire to publish, but I’ve also made friends that continually cheer me on when self doubt comes knocking at my door (which is rather frequently). To everyone who gets me through the tough times and gives me the strength and courage to carry on, I thank you—wholeheartedly.

Update time!

As I said, there has been SO much going on this last month. I’ll start first with a reminder. Blood & Magic officially releases on Nov 15th! I really enjoyed writing the start of this new series, and I think I’m more proud of that book than any others so far (maybe its just new baby syndrome XD ). I’ve got more exciting news revolving around this story, too. We’ve hired a narrator to turn it into an audiobook! I’m really excited to learn this new process with my first audiobook. It’s already been a learning experience, but I really believe we’ve found an amazing voice for Eramus. Hopefully by this time next month, I’ll have more of an idea in lieu of a release date, but until then, stay posted!

Now for the editing update. I announced last month that I was working hard to revise Books 1-3. I’m pleased to announce I’m nearing the end of this process. The Warlock of Dunivear will be finished (hopefully) in the next week, and then I’ll begin reformatting Origins of Virgam. All the new branding and manuscripts should be available by the end of the year. Yay to moving on finally!

News on Book 4: The Seer of Verascene:

I’ve started the last round of revisions on book 4. I don’t have a release date for it yet but I’m hoping Christmas or not long after.

The Matchmaker Prince is a novella that is now available for FREE on several platforms. This story is a prequel to The Witch of Selvenor. I had written an even shorter version in early spring, and thought–why not make it longer and publish XD

So here it is! Pick up your FREE copy!

Special note:

The Matchmaker Prince and The Prisoner of Magic are now available as a duology! You can find it on Amazon here.

So what are the goals for this month? Well, firstly, it’s NaNoWriMo! For those of you who don’t know that’s National Novel Writing Month. Many authors/writers get together as a community and pledge to write 50k words for the month. This is my first time participating! I’ll be working on Book 2 in my Children of Magic series. To date, I’ve written 17k words. My goal is to finish the book (approx 60k words). Spoiler: We may or may not already have the eBook cover ready 😉

In addition to this, I’m still working to finish my revisions, but it is nice to get back into the swing of writing again.

Until next month, may you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
